This is my current collection of customized navbars. The impetus for creating them was having read in some of the discussion forums, criticisms of Webring for keeping the concept of the Yahoo navbar stacks. The biggest complaint seemed to be their rather drab, generic appearance.
Having been a member of various rings since the old ".org" days, and admittedly disappointed in the "generic" stacks myself, I began to play around with the navigation codes of my own rings to see if I could make them a bit more interesting.
Some of the ones below are still works in progress. As I come up with new bits of code, or get ideas from some of the more accomplished programmers out there, I try do incorporate them into my [and other] rings.
The Geocaching Webring code below appears only on my member site. The Ringmaster, while accommodating in allowing me to use it on my site in place of his generic code, had no interest and/or ability to incorporate it into the ring itself.
